George Hefner – President
George Hefner has been in the construction industry since his early teens, starting out as a general laborer, carpenter, and foreman to pay his way through college. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1983. After college he worked for a large Southwest General Contractor as a Field Engineer and was then offered a position in project management for a prominent builder in Dallas, TX. He dedicated most of his time to the renovation and construction of corporate interiors which leads him to where he is today. Mr. Hefner is the Founder and President of Spectrum, Inc. which he originated in March 1999. George has directed a wide variety of projects in each of the company’s primary practice areas. These have ranged from small projects for corporations to large-scale mixed-use commercial interiors located in the DC metro area. The depth of his experience in the construction industry makes him a valuable resource in project management, estimating, and scheduling.
Sean Rogers – Vice President
Sean Rogers graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2000 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Finance. Throughout college he worked for a construction company where he was responsible for assigning tasks to laborers, scheduling projects, and acted as a liaison to subcontractors and building supervisors. After he graduated he moved to the DC area where he started working at Spectrum, Inc. and became the Vice President. His responsibilities consist of daily management of project managers and superintendents, composing proposals, financial accountability for projects, and responding to RFP’s. Throughout his 18 years of experience in the construction industry, Sean has acquired a strong set of skills including knowledge of Federal, State, and County Codes, safety regulations, scheduling, project management, and creative problem solving.
