OWNER	George T. Hefner
QUALIFICATIONS	Mr. Hefner has been in the construction industry since his early teens, beginning as a general laborer, carpenter and carpenter foreman to pay his way through college. Graduating in 1983 from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Hefner worked for a large Southwest General Contractor as a Construction/Field Engineer overseeing projects such as Love Field Airport , Turtle Creek Plaza and Texas Instruments semi-conductor chip facilities. Mr. Hefner accepted a position in the specialized field of interior renovation for a prominent Dallas builder. While constructing and renovating offices, showrooms and hospitality institutions, he was given the opportunity to perform in project management and estimating. Utilizing an extensive base building and interior construction background, he spent the next seven years working for Rosewood Properties, Weissberg Corporation and its offshoots as a Construction Manager. In 1993, Mr. Hefner re-entered the General Contracting side of the industry. Having had the opportunity to be under the employment of some of the areas premier interior general contractors, Mr. Hefner founded Spectrum, Inc. and opened the doors on March 1, 1999. Since then, Spectrum has delivered quality work for on a wide variety of commercial projects ranging from Recreation centers to Medical Facilities. In addition, beginning as a very small company, Spectrum has, in its ten years of operation, grown to astounding levels and has become more and more renowned and favored by both Sub Contractors and clients alike, in the D.C. Metro area.
